Car Audio Installation
Car Audio Installation in Tampa
A good system can sound bad with a rushed install. Undersized wire, a loose ground, or gains set by ear will hold back even the best gear. We install car audio and car stereo equipment the right way, with a box built for your vehicle instead of pulled off a shelf.
- Subwoofers
- Custom Boxes
- Amplifiers
- Speakers
- Big 3 Upgrades

Electrical
The Big 3 Upgrade
Your vehicle's charging system was designed for the factory stereo. A strong amplifier asks for more current than the stock wiring can deliver, and it shows up as dimming headlights, voltage drops, and an amp that cuts out at volume.
The Big 3 replaces three key wires with heavier cable so power gets where it needs to go. Not every system needs it. When yours does, we'll tell you.
1
Alternator to Battery
The positive wire that carries charging current from the alternator to the battery.
2
Battery to Chassis
The main ground from the battery's negative terminal to the vehicle body.
3
Engine to Chassis
The ground between the engine block and the body, which the alternator depends on.

What a Clean Install Looks Like
Most of a good install is stuff you'll never see. It's also what decides whether your system works for years or starts cutting out in a month.
- Power wire sized to your amplifier's current draw
- Fuse within 18 inches of the battery
- Short ground to clean, bare metal
- Power and signal run on opposite sides of the vehicle
- Wires protected wherever they pass through metal
- Gains set to your equipment, not by ear
- Final check before you drive away
Speakers
Speaker Upgrades You'll Actually Hear
Most factory speakers use thin paper cones and small magnets. Years of Florida heat and humidity dry them out, and some tear outright, like the one below. A quality set of coaxial or component speakers is one of the most affordable ways to make your whole system sound better.
We use mounting adapters and the right wiring harness so the new speakers fit cleanly without cutting into your factory wiring.

Car Audio Install Questions
Can you install equipment I already bought?
Yes. We'll check that your subs, amp, and wiring are matched before anything goes in, so nothing gets damaged the first time you turn it up.
Can you pick out the gear for me?
Yes. Tell us your vehicle, your budget, and how you listen. We'll recommend the equipment, you purchase it, and we install it.
Will an aftermarket system drain my car battery?
A properly wired system shouldn't drain your battery when the car is off. Bigger systems may need a Big 3 upgrade or a second battery, and we'll tell you up front if yours does.
What is the Big 3 upgrade, and do I need it?
It replaces three main charging and ground wires with heavier cable so your amplifier gets the current it needs. Not every system needs it. If yours does, we'll recommend it.
Do you install in trucks and SUVs?
Yes. Behind-the-seat and under-seat truck installs are where a custom box makes the biggest difference.
What do I need to get a quote?
Your vehicle's year, make, and model, plus any gear you have or are considering. If you're starting from scratch, tell us your budget and how you listen.
